Many thanks to Toni Kroos and Nacho for their contributions to Real Madrid over the years. The first one has retired, and the second one has moved to Al-Qadsiah, ending his time as a one-club guy. Both were very important to Real Madrid’s wins in the Champions League and La Liga last season. It will be interesting to see how they replace both their skill and their knowledge.
Andriy Lunin is another player who was very important to Real Madrid’s double last season. Thibaut Courtois was out for a long time with an injury, so it was his first real chance to play as a starting, and he made the most of it.
But when Courtois came back from his injury late in the season, he went right back into the starting lineup, while Lunin went back to the bench. Naturally, it looks like he wants to leave this summer.
These days, Lunin has been mentioned with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and other teams. But it looks like Real Madrid will have to be paid a fair amount to let him go.
