Tomiyasu missed thirteen games for Arsenal the previous season due to two calf problems.
Since joining from Bologna in 2021, the 25-year-old has struggled with injuries on multiple occasions.But back in March, he signed a new deal that would last until 2026 with the possibility of an additional year.
Before making an appearance for Scotland at Euro 2024, Tierney played 26 games while on loan at Real Sociedad in the previous season.
The full-back has also experienced recurring injury problems in the current season, both prior to and following his 2022 knee surgery.
