Arsenal determined to ‘break the bank’ for the £17 million signing of Barcelona ‘wonderkid’ – with the teenager also on the radar of Premier League rivals and European clubs

Mikayil Faye, a Barcelona prospect, has drawn interest from Arsenal.

Under coach Xavi, who holds the teenager in high regard, the athletic left-back—who can also play center-back—has been playing brilliantly for Barcelona B this season and was ready to make the transition to the senior team.

Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Bayer Leverkusen have all kept tabs on Faye’s development, gathering a great deal of data with Bayern in particular.

As previously reported by Mail Sport, a number of teams, including Manchester United, have been keeping an eye on the strong center-back who can also play left-back.

Barcelona recognise his sale could raise £17million or more if interest grows in the youngster

Barcelona is aware that if interest in the young player increases, his transfer may fetch £17 million or more.

The 19-year-old stunned United scouts with a stunning goal on his Senegal debut against Gabon in March, and a week later, he thundered home a free kick for Barcelona Atletico against Osasuna.

“He has participated in a few friendly games,” Xavi informed the Spanish press. “He is a skilled football player who possesses agility, aggression, and good ball handling skills.” He might be able to assist us later. While the Senegalese national team is overseas training for World Cup qualifications, Arsenal will be keeping a close eye on Faye.

They also admire Quilindschy Hartman of Feyenoord, but the Holland international is sidelined until the following year due to injury.
