As of now, Liverpool hasn’t started their summer transfer business during Arne Slot’s first window in charge. However, reports about Arda Guler, Ademola Lookman, and Fabio Carvalho keep Liverpool linked to new stars.
It’s been almost two weeks since the summer transfer window opened for 2024, and Liverpool is already making moves.
As Arne Slot gets ready for his first season at Anfield, he will want to bring in some new players as soon as possible. A lot of names have already been tied to the Reds.
Liverpool is likely to add to their team, but they may also want to get rid of some players. This makes it hard for Slot to decide who can leave.
As the summer goes on, rumours keep going around. Check out all of the newest deals and moves that have been announced from Merseyside below:
Liverpool gets in touch with Guler
Arda Guler, a star player at Euro 2024, might be on his way to Anfield. Marca, a Spanish news source, says that Liverpool has talked to Real Madrid about hiring the playmaker.
After a rough first season and facing tougher competition, Guler has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu. And the Reds want to use a swoop to their advantage.
It won’t be easy to make a deal, though. It is said that Real Madrid doesn’t want to sell Guler because they just signed him last summer.
The 19-year-old’s deal is still good for five years. In two Euro 2024 games, he has scored once.

Along with Guler, Liverpool is also said to be interested in Ademola Lookman, a star player for Atalanta. So says CalcioMercato, who say that the Reds are one of several Premier League teams that are interested.
It’s been said that Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in him. Even though Atalanta doesn’t want to sell, they might have to if they get an offer over £50m.
Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig two years ago and has scored 32 goals in that time. He used to play for Everton, a team that plays on Merseyside, but he only got four goals in 48 games for them.
Carvalho is interested in new boys
Several teams are interested in Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho this summer. The winger from Portugal played for Hull in the second half of last season and could leave again.
The Mail Online says that many teams in England and other countries are interested in Carvalho. Newly promoted teams Southampton and Leicester are also interested, and Fulham are said to be planning a move for their former star.
Even though there are many suitors, it looks like a move is still a while off. It sounds like Liverpool will give Carvalho a chance to show what he can do in pre-season. So he wants to stand out to his new boss Slot, but he’s not really ready to leave.
