RISKY MOVE: Mikel Arteta must axe £100k-p/w Arsenal flop to sign ‘WORLD-CLASS’ £80m Sesko alternative

After years of failure at the Emirates, Mikel Arteta has done a great job as manager of Arsenal, putting the team back in the running for the Premier League title.

With the money from the leadership, he’s done smart business in the transfer market, bringing in players like Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard after unsuccessful stints elsewhere and turning them into top European players.

Arteta has also been very important in the growth of many young players at the club. For example, William Saliba and Bukayo Saka have done very well under his direction and have played key roles under the Spaniard in recent years.

Even though the former Arsenal midfielder is doing a great job, he needs a focus point to lead the Gunners to their first Premier League title in a generation.

He will have to get rid of some players to get the money he needs to buy a good goal maker. One player looks like he is getting closer to leaving North London this summer.

The most recent news about Reiss Nelson’s plans

Journalist David Ornstein says that Arsenal player Reiss Nelson has said he wants to leave the club this summer in order to get more regular first-team minutes.

Last season, the 24-year-old shooter only played 15 times in the Premier League, and only one of those games was as a starter. He didn’t score or set up a goal for the Gunners.

English teams like West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest are interested in Nelson, who came up through The Hale End school. The club wants £20 million to get rid of the star player.

The player also makes £100,000 a week, which is the same as Gabriel and even more than Leandro Trossard.

It would be a shame for such a talented player to leave the Emirates, but the club is always getting better, so they have to be tough if they want to end their 20-year wait for a league title.

The Gunners have been interested in Nelson for a couple of years and any money they could get for him would help them sign one of their primary targets.

Where Arsenal could put their cash

In the past six months, it’s become clear that Arteta wants to bring in a new centre forward. A lot of big names are constantly linked with a move to North London.

At one point, Benjamin Sesko looked like the most likely candidate. However, the Slovenian forward chose to stay at RB Leipzig and signed a new deal with the Bundesliga team.

But Sesko’s new deal could make Arteta interested in Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak again, after being interested in the Swedish forward for a number of years.

Arsenal wanted to sign the 24-year-old when he was at Real Sociedad before he moved to Tyneside, and they are interested in him again now that he is having such a great season in the Premier League.

The star player for Newcastle scored 21 goals in 30 Premier League games, which earned him praise from Aaron Stokes, editor of the Newcastle Chronicle, who called the forward “world-class.”

He wouldn’t be cheap to sign. It’s been said that teams may have to pay between £80m and £100m to get him, and the Magpies need to make money so they don’t break the FFP rules next season.

Although, he would make a huge difference in the Arsenal’s already strong front line, which helped the team score 91 goals, which was the second most of any Premier League team.

If Arsenal wants to finally beat their foes Manchester City next season, they need to sign Isak. His added goal threat is a key part of Arteta’s plan to bring the Premier League trophy back to North London.
