Declan Rice, the cover star of Men’s Health magazine, issues a rallying call for the England team ahead of Euro 2024 and reveals the surprising diet secret that led to Arsenal’s success

Declan Rice stated in a recent interview that it is England’s “turn” to win a major championship ahead of the European Championships next month.  The player has been on a roll since moving from West Ham to Arsenal for £105 million last summer, and Gareth Southgate views him as a staple as England attempts to compete in Germany.  Southgate’s team is heavily favored to win the competition after coming agonizingly close to upsetting Italy in the 2021 Wembley final.

In an interview with Me𝚗’s Health UK, Rice did, however, say that the team’s potential after three years is even more impressive.  With the team and players we have, and with everyone in form playing well, Rice said, “You need to back yourself to win.” I think the time is right, and this is our opportunity. What defenses do you have?

“We have a great manager and great staff behind the scenes, and they are a great group to travel with.” We can do something very amazing this summer.

The twenty-five-year-old midfield player appeared totally relaxed as he posed for many pictures. The interview with Rice is featured on the magazine’s cover.

The Arsenal midfielder talked up England's chances of triumphing at this year's Euros

Rice said that he booked his move from East London with “complete confidence” that he will flourish under Mikel Arteta, much like how he feels about his hefty transfer cost.

During his vintage photo shoot, the 25-year-old talked about the significance of his £105 million price tag.

“I got bought for a big amount of money,” Rice continued. I knew that I was a good player. I was positive that I could make a difference.

“People don’t talk about the price anymore.” Naturally, the amount of money was substantial. If I can defend it, the supporters will have to say so.

Rice, who considers confidence to be one of his greatest assets, adds, “You can do all the gym work in the world, lift all the weights, do all the legwork, but you have to be mentally really strong.” Confidence is incredibly important.

To consistently score seven or eight out of ten each week is what matters most to me. The intellect is incredibly important. The manager of Arsenal, Arteta, has spoken to us about how our minds work. Retraction is easy to achieve when you make a bad pass, give up the ball, and let the other team score. Nevertheless, I’ve learned to let go of my mistakes.

Rice also disclosed one dietary trick that has been driving Arsenal’s strong Premier League title challenge.

In the interview, Rice also revealed one of Arsenal’s best-kept dietary secrets: the pancakes the team makes, which the midfielder says a lot of players eat to stay energized.

I had four pancakes before a game. saturated with syrup or honey. I swear to God, it’s the nicest thing ever. Rice listened.

When I first joined Arsenal, my first thought upon seeing the players eating them was, “What is going on here?” However, to be honest, it has altered the gameplay.

I’m not sure what’s in them or how they function scientifically, but they do give me a significant energy boost. That, in my opinion, explains why I can float around the pitch so much.

Rice also revealed one nutritional secret fuelling Arsenal's impressive Premier League title tilt

At times, when we perform at 5:30 p.m., I might consume up to eight pancakes in a day. Before we play, I’ll have some more at 3.30 p.m. after breakfast.

As Arteta’s team’s fascinating title race with Manchester City comes to a close, it remаins to be seen if nutritional gains will be sufficient to prove the difference on the last day of the season.

The players under Pep Guardiola are currently favorites to win the Premier League for a record-breаking fourth time in a row, but if Man City loses to West Ham and Arsenal defeats Everton, the Gunners still have a chance to win the league for the first time in twenty years.

Southgate will reveal his 26-man squad to travel to Germany next month on Tuesday

Members of Arsenal’s historic Invincibles team will be present at the Emirates to celebrate their historic victory and to watch Arteta’s team repeat their title-winning performance at home.

After their last victory over Manchester United on Sunday, Arteta stated that their goal was to give their fans “the most beautiful day.”

Rice’s teammate Kai Havertz said, “It is so nice to be in the (title) race and every week you have to play at your best.”

It feels even better once you’ve done it. Everything is conceivable as long as the entire club is behind us in this one game.
