The clothing collection, which includes pre-game and off-field attire, features a unique camouflage design that was inspired by the Lunar Year of the Dragon. It also features classic symbol prints and embroidery that highlight the club’s past. The collection, which features players like Declan Rice and Reiss Nelson and promotes community and solidarity, is worn by both the men’s and women’s teams.Image

adidas Spezial had its own dedicated fan base, but it never really took off in the US. Nonetheless, the company has put a lot of effort into relaunching the lineup to that market over the past year, increasing the accessibility of classics like the Handball Spezial. Moreover, an October collaboration with Maharishi is planned, so it’s likely that a lot more people will soon become aware of the collection and what is arguably its most well-known sneaker.

The London-based brand previously teamed up with the shoe brand Undefeated in 2014, so this is by no means their first partnership. Nevertheless, it is their first in almost ten years, following several launches with Nike, Reebok, and Mizuno in addition to the collaboration already mentioned. For their reunion, the two have dressed the legendary Spezial figure in what seems to be a subdued colorway, mostly consisting of black suedes with a signature gum bottom. But if you look closely, you can see that in addition to the gilded “MAHARISHI” mark, the side stripes also contain a faint camouflage print.

This is where you can examine the Maharishi x adidas Handball Spezial in greater detail. According to Sole Retriever, these ought should be accessible in October.Image
