Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly interested in Real Madrid skipper, Nacho. According to COPE, Xabi Alonso has identified Nacho as a potential summer addition.

Nacho will leave Real Madrid this summer after coming to the decision not to renew his expiring contract. The defender has been linked with a move to the United States and Saudi.

However, with the Bundesliga champions keen to reinforce their defensive ranks with a view to next season, the 34-year-old is considered a viable candidate.

It’s interesting to note that Leverkusen was also connected to Rafa Marín, who is now on loan at Alavés from Real Madrid, a few days prior.

Even though Nacho is keen to try something new outside of Europe, it would seem that he would need some persuasion.
