Arsenal decided to ‘break the safe’ to plan to sign a world-class striker after failure in the Champions League

Two Premier League frontmen and poachers from Portugal and the Bundesliga are the best choices.

After their heartbreaking Champions League loss, ARSENAL is intensifying their efforts to sign a world-class forward in the summer.

In a dull second-leg 1-0 loss at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night, the Gunners were eliminated from the quarterfinals without dealing Bayern Munich a serious blow.

Additionally, SunSport has learned that the Arsenal management is aware of the lack of a clinical edge and an attacking focal point for Arteta’s team right now in the final third.

This season, Arteta has alternated between central strikers Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, keeping Arsenal competitive with six games remaining in the Premier League.

But in the end, that’s the stance that has cost them in Europe.

And the North London club is prepared to move fast in the marketplace to address that issue, acknowledging that it is necessary in order to advance.

Havertz, who cost £65 million to acquire from Chelsea in June of last year, began the match against Bayern before Jesus was substituted in the second half, but neither player made a significant difference.

Havertz has ten goals this season across all competitions, compared to just eight for Jesus.

In the past, Arsenal has shown interest in signing Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon as a classic No. 9.

Players of interest include Ollie Watkins, 28, of Aston Villa, Benjamin Sesko, 20, of RB Leipzig, and Alexander Isak, 24, of Newcastle, but his age is still a matter of contention.

In addition to strengthening their attacking areas, Arsenal intends to add general depth, which they currently lack and which has contributed to their recent decline in performance.

SunSport is aware that the Arsenal administration is worried about the weariness that has affected a number of their players thus far in the season, as evidenced by Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Villa.

This season, players with nagging injuries—including Jesus, captain Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Jorginho, and Takehiro Tomiyasu—have all played through the discomfort without receiving much-needed rest or recuperation time.

Because he doesn’t think backup players like Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, or Fabio Vieira can step in and have an impact, Arteta rarely rotates.

Arsenal hopes to assemble a team of 22 exceptional players that the Spanish coach has previously said he wants, like to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, in the coming transfer windows.
