Vinicius tackled Grealish on the edge of the Real Madrid 18-yard box in the second leg of their two-game quarterfinal match at the Etihad, sending him to the ground.

Replays appeared to show that Grealish’s right boot was struck by the Brazil winger’s lifted right leg as he was passing the ball to a teammate on the outskirts of the box.

Even though the England player went down in a very dramatic fashion, referee Daniele Orsato continued the game. Furthermore, Vinicius made it apparent that he disapproved of Grealish when the attack on the City was halted.

The wide player for Real Madrid made a diving move with his right hand and screamed at the City defender. It looked like he was speaking Portuguese.

Grealish’s back was to the camera, so his response was hidden, but he appeared to respond before giggling when his rival accused him of being untruthful.

Dani Carvajal stated the same thing about the judge in the first half as well. Later, when the La Liga leaders were attacking, Grealish was given a yellow card for cutting off the Spanish right back from behind. The Englishman was replaced by Jeremy Doku after seventy-two minutes.

In the twelfth minute, Vinicius’s cross put up Rodriguez for a goal. Real Madrid had a 1-0 lead. Ederson stopped the initial shot, but it rebounded to the left and was completed by him.

Following their 3-3 draw at the Bernabeu last week, the 14-time European champions now lead 4-3 overall. The victor advances to play either Bayern Munich or Arsenal in the third-place match.

Grealish had already become enraged with a Madrid player. It was with Vinicius Jr. the last time. He got into a brawl with Atletico Madrid two years ago.

Yellow cards were used in both of those quarterfinal legs. In the first game, Sime Vrsaljko received one for a late hit on the England player, and Angel Correa received one for kicking the ball at him.

Afterwards, Vrsaljko flicked the 28-year-old’s hair as Stefan Savic was furious. Grealish and Savic got into another altercation during the second game after the City player, who was warming up on the bench, insulted the defender, who then tugged Grealish’s hair.

It was also said that after the game, they had spoken in the tunnel. Vrsaljko seemed to hurl something towards the City players while his route to the Wanda Metropolitano changing areas.

Subsequently, BT Sport pundit Darren Fletcher stated that the police had to intervene and settle the situation with both groups of players.

“Grealish was walking down the tunnel as the players were leaving when Savic came up to him, and then there was a disturbance just at the tunnel’s opening,” he continued.

“At that point, a number of people rushed into that location, and Savic and Grealish swiftly vanished from my field of vision. After that, there was a lot of noise down there, and four police officers ran into that area.”I couldn’t tell you exactly what happened inside the tunnel because I can’t see it, but it was another shady situation here that’s very indicative of what we’ve seen over the last fifteen minutes. It involved Savic again, as well as Grealish, the Man City player, who was attempting to leave the field.”
