On Saturday, Real Madrid won Mallorca 1-0 on the road after a fierce battle. The game’s lone goal was scored in the 48th minute by Aurelien Tchouameni.
But before the Frenchman sealed the match-winner, the hosts had a chance to score and would have done so – were it not for Fede Valverde.
Early in the first half, during a Madrid attack, Brahim Diaz lost possession, allowing Mallorca to start a counter.

Brahim seemingly gave up on the ball…but Valverde didn’t.
Instead, the Uruguayan sprinted the length of the pitch to help in defence, successfully stopping the attack with a crucial interception.
Clearly exhausted from the sprint, Valverde shouted at Diaz, “Touch the f-ing ball, you son of a b.”
Where would we be without Fede? The guy’s irreplaceable.
